Arrangements

In arrangements for larger and mixed ensembles, Leonard Eröd's effort is not only to make the transcription sound as similar to the original as possible, but also to treat every instrument in the way the original composer would have done. In a woodwind-quintet arrangement of a Mozart piece for instance, the tone range and technical capabilities of the late 18th century wind instruments are considered.

On the other hand, in pieces like the Carmen fantasy (EB 0202), there is a much freer handling of the material, featuring virtuosity and a diversity of sound. Stylistic limits are exceeded and humorous allusions to other pieces and genres are included.

Editing

All issues of Edition Blumberg are created professionally and accurately with Sibelius software to meet the highest practical and aesthetical standards. Clear layout, rehearsal marks, bar numbers and practical page-turns allow you to concentrate on the music at rehearsal and performance.

Shipping options

We offer two modes of delivery. One is to order a PDF file via e-mail, which you may print yourself - You may need the free Acrobat Reader (available here) to do this. The other (slightly more expensive) option is a conventional printed edition, shipped by mail. Of necessity more expensive because it includes the cost of printing and binding, the price will also include additional postage fees, which may vary depending on the size of the order and the recipient's address.
